January 8th…Again

This post is also available in: Spanish

Isabel will be starting a new book on Tuesday, January 8th. If you don’t know the meaning of January 8th, it’s the date that Isabel starts ALL of her novels. Read more about it here.

I was struck by this final paragraph in Musings, which appears on Isabel’s website.

I write because I need to remember and overcome. It is from memory and a sense of loss that the passion to create emerges. Every book is an act of love, an offering that I prepare with great care, hoping that it will be well received.

So, we will wait and see what comes of it! I am happy she is writing. I’ve never met anyone so driven or so completely a writer. I have no doubts the new book will be well received.

Isabel at her first computer! I posted this in 2011 and had to re-post it because I love it so much.

    Querida Isabel,

Good luck with the little baby tomorrow!
Since I’ve discovered her books, two years ago, every 8th of January since then reminds me of the birth of a baby, which is always full of fear and joy same time. It may sound silly, but I am nervous about it also, maybe because I can empathize with the struggle of the writer in front of the tremendous white paper.

I am thinking already of the end of the book, so go ahead with the first page,Isabel, the rest is just about us, your readers 🙂

    Good luck!

    Elena from Romania
