New York, Germany, Denmark and Paris

So this week is a little crazy. Isabel is getting ready to travel—a lot. A conference in New York, a book tour for Maya’s Notebook in Germany, accepting the Hans Christian Andersen Literature Award in Denmark and—finally!—a week in Paris with family and friends.

She will be gone for several weeks and I have to say I am going to miss her. But right now nobody has time to think of such things. There is so much to do just to get ready for the trip! Even with everything going on, Isabel somehow still manages to find time to work on her next novel. I honestly don’t know how she gets everything done—and all with such grace. I managed to get my laundry folded last night in the wee hours and I even washed ALL the supper dishes, so I am not far behind!

In addition to all the trip preparation, there is all the other stuff packed into the schedule. A writer named Paula Palacios, who writes for Caras magazine, came all the way from Chile to interview Isabel. Chilean fans can look for the article in the next few months. Here is a photo of Isabel and Paula having a wee dram after the interview wrapped up.
