One Billion! Wow! It’s almost that time.
But before I say more, let me preface this post with a confession:
I cannot and should not dance. Ever.
There, I said it. Sorry, Eve. I will stand up and move around a little bit, but what I’ll end up doing could never qualify as dancing.
What am I talking about? Let me tell you:
From One Billion Rising:
On V-Day’s 15th Anniversary, 14 February 2013, we are inviting ONE BILLION women and those who love them to WALK OUT, DANCE, RISE UP, and DEMAND an end to this violence. ONE BILLION RISING will move the earth, activating women and men across every country. V-Day wants the world to see our collective strength, our numbers, our solidarity across borders.
Eve Ensler, the visionary behind V-Day, is a stunning bright light in the world. I have seen her talk many times and am so inspired by her. I hope V-day will shift the world and that an awareness of violence will rise up in every country, just as Eve predicts. It’s a beautiful dream.

¿No?
Perhaps instead of insulting Chileans as a whole you should limit your complaint to the Chilean literary class, which has always been jealous of your commercial success. Chileans buy and read your books by the boatload…why cast aspersions on them?
